Starting a Montclair, NJ Supper Club

I posted on the other nothern NJ thread, but thought I'd post here too. My husband and I are moving to northern NJ in a month. We're looking at the South Orange / Maplewood areas. I don't know how close these areas are to Montclair, but I'd be interested in meeting up once we move.

I'll check the thread to see if you're meeting and if I can join!

I am new to the Northern NJ area myself, but I dont think that Maplewood is that far from Montclair. Hopefully we will be able to start a club in this area soon... it seems like there is some interest. Good luck with your move and hope to hear from you once you are in the area!

Glad to hear we're relatively close. We should be settled in around the 2nd week in December, so I'll email you then. It might be a bit busy with the holidays, but maybe we could meet up for lunch as a get-to-know-you. Have you heard from others who are nearby, perhaps on other threads?

Rae, yes, defenitely be in touch once you are settled. I havent heard from others who are interested, although I noticed some interest on another NJ thread. I wonder if things fell through though? We might be interested in joining your Montclair/ maybe South Orange & Maplewood supper club. I live in Livingston, one town west & one town north of Maplewood & South Orange AND one town south and one town west of Montclair. Have you gotten other replies?

I live in Montclair and am also looking to join a supper club. Maybe those who are interested can get together to talk about it. I tried to help get one started in the area a few months ago but it didn't materialize. I'm looking forward to trying to make this happen!

There now seems to be some interest for a supper club... I just emailed Sue privately about possibly starting something soon. I also know that Rae, who is moving to NJ in about a month is also interested. Perhaps we can set a lunch/ coffee meeting up to get acquainted in early December? Any ideas?

Hopefully we will get something started soon!

I was part of the original thread regarding Montclair supper clubs. I am on the fence about joining just because my "plate is full" right now! Maybe after the holidays! Is anyone going to the NYC supper club event? I am!
