Talking What are your new tips for the New Year??

I know we have had numerous threads on organizing your food, meal planning, schedule etc, but seeing how it is almost a new year and I know we have lots of new people, I thought it would be nice to have new ideas/tips.

DH and I decided that for the time being, while we both have brand new jobs, we would be on a small "food rotation/small choice" schedule.

Example, breakfast choices will be eggs or peanut butter sandwich(his favorite); always fruit

lunch will be tuna or salmon salad with carrots or on lettuce, or frozen bean burritos, or leftovers

dinner will be a bean dish, soup or homemade pizza, always with veggies, or eating out.

We will revisit this (and Im sure change it) after we get more used to our new schedules.

Anyone else have a tried and true time saving schedule or have a new one they want to share?

ps here are some prior threads for more ideas

I don't have any tips, but do have a general orgization question...

Does anyone know where to find a clear container designed to hold roles of wrapping paper? I am helping my mother de-clutter and organize, and I think one of these would help.

Jennifer, check the Container Store http://www.containerstore.com

    Here's one just for rolls:

Or one for rolls and accessories:

But I'm sure Target or WalMart-type places should have things like them. Maybe even someplace like a craft store and/or JoAnn fabrics.

Sorry, not much to add as far as organization... I'm here to see what others have to say!

Instead of containers specifically for that, I bought a tall plastic garbage can - works like a charm and a heckuva lot cheaper. In fact, going to buy another one tonight. Hope this helps!

I have that container. Its by rubbermaid. Wrapper something or other.
I am sure they are on sale at Target now.

You keep the scissors, tape etc in the top part. Good cause I always lose mine
