Home page pop-up

I'm using a Macintosh. I've set Apple's Safari browser to block all pop-ups. But I still get a pop-up when I enter Cooking Light's home page. Is there a website preference that stops the pop-ups?

I'm considering canceling my subscription to the magazine because I don't want to see a pop-up every time I access the home page. I want to see the page content without having to uncover it first.

Please help.

I simply canceled my subscription and am using an alternative cooking website for my purposes.

Cooking Light is nice, but not so unique that I need to tolerate its pop-ups and spam.
