Post From Cooking Light: Welcome to our new bulletin boards!

Hi, folks! As we promised, we've created new bulletin boards that we hope you'll find easier to use. Play around with them, and let us know what you think. If you have questions, be sure to check out the FAQs--and if they don't help, post a message or email a letter to the editor. We'll do our best to respond in a flash. Thanks! The Cooking Light staff.

This looks good. I hope it is this fast at home. Not too sure that smilies are a great improvement though. I am anxious to see how this looks when there is more than 1 thread going on.

This is an EXCELLENT bulletin board software! One of my favorite sites, 3 Fat Chicks, uses it and they have a tremendous amount of volume. The boards are so user-friendly!

Thank you, Cooking Light, for all your efforts!

P.S. To edit your post, just click on the notepad with a pencil icon.

Looks good. I hope you'll post a second message to the folks still on the old board, who are unaware this one's up and running. As of a few minutes ago, they were still posting away, oblivious...

    The new boards look great.

I really like how you can see the postings as you're editing your reply. It really comes in handy!

    Thanks!

    Question

Is there a way to hop to another part of the website from this board other than having to hit the back button? Also, are the old boards still accessible? Thanks.

Way, way, WAY up at the top of this screen you will see a "tree" that shows the different folders, or topics, available. If you click on Cooking Light Community it will take you back to the beginning. If any other topic (or thread) is underlined you can click on that and it will take you there.

    Hope this is helpful.

I LOVE THIS NEW BOARD!!! It is so much FASTER! It loads almost instantly where before it would take up to 5 minutes to get it to load. It shows all of the replies along with the original post, no second clicking to be done, and when you submit a reply, it updates instantly!! You guys are amazing, CL! Obviously a "goddess" is behind all of this!

Question for all of you experts!
Some of the posts I don't see all the replies. For instance the one about top cooking magazines says it has 9 replies but I only see one. What am I doing wrong?

No expert here. This is strictly an amateur suggestion. Did you try clicking on "refresh" or "reload?"

    I've noticed that too.

Maybe it says there's a reply while someone is actually typing their reply. I've noticed if I go back in a few minutes, it's usually there.
