    What's your favorite exercise DVD?

I have a 9.5 month old at home, and I'm a SAHM who used to work out in a gym... No time for that now, and she's too young for the "daycare" area at the gyms... So, what's your favorite workout DVD? I'm interested in cardio, pilates -- anything that will kick my butt (though it's been quite some time!) and will keep me interested/motivated.

I do have the Taebo Live DVD which I like, but am tired of...

    Advice?

    THANKS in advance!!

Tara--there's a whole check in thread of us who work out at home with videos/DVDs---and I'm guessing that none of us are answering for the same reason, which is: there's no way I could pick just one "favorite." I probably have 60+ workouts, Engineer has more than that, and the other women in the thread have lots of stuff that neither of us have---it's hard to choose!

Right now I'm mostly doing workouts from The Firm--but there are a bunch about to come out from WHFN (a new company formed by the original 3 founders of The Firm) that I'm very excited about---and some of those will be available commercially in a 2-per-DVD format. You can check out clips at www.whfn.com

You can also check out clips of LOTS of different workouts at Collage Video (I think it's www.collagevideo.com but I'm not entirely sure, probably safer to Google for it), including many of the Firm workouts that I like. Firm tends to be aerobic weight training, though, as opposed to straight cardio (I can't do high impact stuff, so I lean away from straight cardio)--you might check www.cathe.com for some of her cardio--people LOVE her, but she is hi hi HIGH impact.

I'm not sure any of this helps, but it should give you some places to look!

I am a Cathe addict (see post, above for website). I started getting serious about working out last November (before turning 40 in December). I finally shed the 10 extra pounds I'd been carrying around for the last 8 years, and feel great (my doctor even commented on my weight when I saw her in January!!) She has great variety (slow & heavy weights, endurance weights, cardio (HIGH impact!), & circuit training). I just ordered her the entire new Hardcore series -- I've only done a couple of the new workouts, but love them. Other favorites: Pyramids (upper & lower body), High Step Training- Advanced, IMAX 2, Kick Punch & Crunch, Muscle Endurance, Bootcamp (killer!), and Power Hour. If you are looking for someone to kick your butt, Cathe will do it!
