Question Did You Eat Well Today? Saturday, April 30

    To quote Tyra:

If you followed your eating plan today, post it here. Part log (for you), inspiration (for others). Feel free to list points, calories, exercise or whatever else you want.

Pre-breakfast tea with 2 tbs coconut oil

    Breakfast:
    1 egg + 1 yolk
    1 tbs butter
    3 green onions
    1 oz parmesan cheese
    1 small orange
    1 cup whole milk

    pre-lunch tea with coconut oil

    Lunch:
    2 oz roasted chicken breast
    2 tbs chipotles peanut sauce
    1 whole wheat bun
    1/2 cup spinach
    baked tortilla chips

    pre-supper tea with coconut oil

    Supper:

    2 oz grilled pork chop
small baked sweet tater (didn't have this)
small tossed salad & drizzle Dijon vinaigrette (made larger salad[/i])
1 cup whole milk (actually didn't have this until 12:30am after coming home from bar)

My day was rather out of whack with being out late Friday night and with the pre-meal tea w/coconut oil I'm not very hungry. In fact, I had no hunger pangs at all before dinner but took my blood sugar at 7:30 and it was 87 (still within normal but usually by then I'm eating my way through a bag of chips. I had to force myself to eat the salad with the pork chop.

Thanks for starting the thread, I've been gone all day running errands and going to the movies

    Breakfast:
    One piece whole wheat matzo
    One tbsp peanut butter

    Farmers market tasting:
    Strawberries, cherries and tangelos

    Lunch:
    Salad with grilled chicken
    Salad Dressing
    1/2 small roll

    Dinner
Roasted Beet, Pear and Pistachio Salad
    Orange-Glazed Cod with Mushrooms

I think I'll have some fruit before I go to bed. I'm still hungry and its only 8:30

What plan is the coconut oil tea from? Sounds interesting, but I think that much oil would kill my points. I do drink tea w honey often to help fill me up, especially as a night-time "snack."

    My Saturday:
    B:

    1 TBS Wheat germ 1
    Small banana 1

    D: (Panera)
Grilled Chicken Sandwich on Ciabatta 8
    French Onion Soup 5

    Kimberly,
You definitely couldn't use WW and this plan at the same time. It's from the book Eat Fat, Lose Fat by Dr Mary Enig and Sally Fallon. It pretty much debunks the low-fat diets that everyone follows and the low-calorie diets based on reasearch that was not sponsored by the edible oil people. It's based on traditional foods (before the invention of hydrogenated fats and the heavy use of polyunstaurated fats) and foods that cultures who don't have chronic heart disease (CHD) eat. Coconut oil and other parts of the coconut are consumed heavily in Thailand and that country has an extremely low occurance of CHD. There are three eating plans in the book and I'm following the the one for weight loss. For the past 2 days I've not been hungry at all and can resist all temptations (served DH bbq'd pork sandwich with chips for lunch and didn't even consider eating a chip! ). I can eat eggs, red meat, veggies, fruits and some grains plus the coconut oil (which is great for sautéing too.

I will have been following it for a month on my next checkup and blood work so I'm hoping that my numbers are better than last time!
