    Question MasterCook 5.0

I see that a lot of you have MasterCook. I bought it for my mom and am getting ready to buy it for myself. Mom hasn't used it very much because she afraid that she's going to lose the recipes she types in herself (one of the major reasons I bought it for her) if her hard drive crashes (and it has a couple of times). The question: Does anyone know how to back up the recipes that you type in or import? I looked through the documentation she got with the program and couldn't find anything on it.

Sierra has an excellent website with a forum that is moderated by two FANTASTIC moderators. The issue of backing up is covered in detail! None of us wants to lose our beloved recipes!

For specific instructions on backing up your recipe files, go to the MasterCook bulletin board at http://www.sierra.com/sierrahome/cooking/ and either search for the instructions on backing up or ask the question. You'll be pointed in the right direction in no time at all.

P.S. As an immediate backup, I print a copy of EVERY recipe I enter and place it in a three-ring binder. Some people print recipe cards, some prefer to back up the computer files only. You'll get your answer at Sierra.com!
