    Smile onion, gruyere, proscuitto strata

i made this for father's day...very mellow, yummy, and easy to make. my parents thought it was good, my husband thought it was great! (some people may want to kick it up a notch)

but here's some advice: don't start making it at 11:15pm, misread that you need to simmer for 30 minutes TWICE, and run out of milk (QT at midnight...i was getting skim milk while everyone else was buying cases of bud light!)

Hi andrea, I made this too, and I agree with you. It is yummy. my family and I do not eat pork products though, so I used turkey ham. It was great, And even better a few days later. Happy cooking!

Boy! I missed the boat on this one! Mine turned out very soggy and mushy. It was so bad I ended up throwing it away! Oh well, I guess you can't ALWAYS have your cake and eat it too!

    Denise,
I didn't care for it either. I thought it was rather bland and way too much work for the end product.
