i just talked to my dh and he said he may be going to baton rouge with the military to help with all the obstetrical patients who are apparently being taken there. he is in his last year of fellowship in maternal fetal medicine. he said his whole dept except for a few may be going tonight and monday. he would prob go monday.
i know that these pts desperately need help, i lived in miss 3 yrs and my sister lived in NO 3 yrs and i know how poor they are and that they are indeed high risk patients. but this am i read on a blog jeanne had posted that the violence has extended to baton rouge. i am so frightened for all the doctors and patients there and stuck in NO. please just say something reassuring!
