Question Need a sugar free dessert

I'm looking for a dessert worthy of an office birthday celebration, that does not have sugar for an ingredient. Sugar substitutes are fine, however--I just don't know how to use them (or when nothing but sugar will do). I'd appreciate any recipe ideas. The party is 5/24, and I need to prepare the dessert the evening before.

    Thanks,
    Janine

    Thumbs up

My husband is a diabetic who used to love sweets. Fortunately, he is on no medication. His sugar levels are under control with strict monitoring of his diet. When I want to make him a dessert I visit equal's website. I have tried most of their recipes and my husband has given all of them good reviews. I gave up using cookbooks. If equal is going to print a recipe, at least you know the chances of it being good are very high. Good Luck!

The Splenda website is also good - they have recipes too, and I personally like Splenda better than Equal (but I like Equal too). Good luck.

Last month my local news station did a taste test using Splenda to bake with. They reported the results as "disappointing". They liked the taste of Splenda on cereal, in coffee, etc. They did not like the results when used in baking. I have to tell you I've never baked with it. Just thought I'd let you know.

Just a reference to my similar post above/below,which has some good recommendations. I don't know how I missed this similar post...I did a search for "diabetic".
