Eggnog Cheese Pie with Bourbon Cream

Last Christmas I made the Eggnog Cheese Pie with Bourbon Cream (CL Dec.2004) and loved it. I'm planning on making it again and was thinking of using all light cream cheese instead of half light half fat free and using light eggnog instead of full fat to make up for the difference in the higher fat content of the cream cheese. Will using the light eggnog overcompensate for this leaving me with flat dessert? I believe the light eggnog has about 4 grams of fat per serving compared with 9 grams in the regular

I don't know, in the sense that since it's a CL recipe already, it's designed to be as low fat but still as good tasting as possible. Since you already said you loved the recipe as it was last year, I'm not sure why you want to change it? That said, I would think though that light egg nog should still work only because I don't think the majority of the "egg nog taste" comes from the fat, but rather the flavorings. I'd be inclined to go ahead and do it if that's what I had in the house, and the results will probably be just fine. But I'd also be inclined to do it exactly the same way as before if I got great results with the original recipe (but I'm not a tinkerer, so that's just me).

I'm using 8oz light cream cheese because last year I ended up tossing the remaining half packages of light and nonfat. Thanks for your advice.
