How long can you keep a ham bone?

...because I'm too tired to deal with it tonight...

(It was served Sunday, and it's now Weds. pm.)

    Thanks!

Thumbs up Time to freeze it.....

Unless you are going to use it today, wrap it in 2 layers of plastic wrap, then 2 layers of foil and stick it in your deep freezer. It'll keep a long time in there.

Freeze it! I just finished a post on another thread where I froze our Thanksgiving ham bone and just made soup the other night! If you have a foodsaver use it...if not follow Hammster's advice...it really will keep for a long time frozen.

    Avoid tummy aches

I wouldn't keep it in refrigerator longer than 3-4 days. Many mistakenly think that hams like Honeybaked are smoked & therefore safer to keep. They are not & should be frozen to keep longer.

Thanks! And, sigh, I'll be trimming the fat now...

and Foodsaving the bone...instead of going to bed!
