    Freezing Chestnuts??

Strange question, but has anyone ever successfully frozen fresh chestnuts still in their shell? I have some in the refrigerator and I want the space so thought I might try freezing them. What do you think??

Fresh chestnuts can be frozen whole in their shells up to four months.
