    How to pronounce Provencal?

Parlez vous Francais? Clearly, I don't, but wish I did....I want to make Cooking Light's Beef Daube Provencal for friends of ours who just had a baby, and I'd like to tell them the name of the dish, but "beef stew" is the only thing that comes out of my mouth. That doesn't do the dish justice!

    How DO you pronounce Provencal?

And how about "Daube"? I would say "dob", as sophisticated as I could.

    Thanks in advance.

Webster's dictionary pronounces it very similar to the way I do.

    Smile pronouncing provencal...

The "n" is not pronounced in French... "ven" sounds more like an Alicia Keys' grunt, like an "ah" that's caught in the back of your throat...
