Can I make crostini ahead of time?

I was wondering if I could bake the crostini tonight, then add the topping before serving them as appetizers on Thursday afternoon. I'd like to do as much ahead as possible but don't want them to turn into hard little discs...

Yes, I make it ahead all the time and then if there are leftovers I will use them for French Onion Soup. Keeps quite well.

You most certainly can! Just make sure to keep them in an air tight container
I love cooking with wine sometimes I even put it in the food.

Ditto that-- you can always heat them slightly in a medium oven for a few minutes to refresh/rewarm too, they still taste great that way.

Thanks! I'll bake them tonight, store them in a ziploc bag, and hope that there are leftovers (I just happened to buy a large bag of sweet onions at Costco the other day).
