I want to try making homemade strawberry jam, and I want to know how long it will keep after put in glass jars. Can anyone help? I have also heard it will keep longer "if the jars are sealed" how do you seal them?
Thanks!

You might get more response if you post your question on the "Great Food" bulletin board...just click at the bottom of the page on "hop-to" then go to Great Food.
Anyway, have you considered making freezer jam? It is safe, keeps indefinitely, and tastes fresher and better too. I usually just follow the instructions that come inside a box of Pectin- find that in the baking section of your supermarket. Recipes are all in there along with storage instructions. I think there are also recipes if you prefer to "jar" your jam.
Good Luck.....
