Talking I did NOT need to find this website!

I was googling Linzer Cookie Christmas set since I think I'd like to include these in my holiday cookie trays and the Christmas Linzers are so cute!

My google results returned this website for Christmas Cookies. I am having a hard enough time trying to decide what 12 kinds cookies I'm baking and giving away and then I had to find this!

Has anyone seen this site or made anything from there?

I used this site a couple of years ago and had forgotten about it! The Chewy Caramel Cookies are excellent and are now a staple on my cookie trays.

Hopefully I don't find too many new recipes to try - I've set my cookie lineup for this year.

Thanks so much for sharing! I love that you can search for Christmas cookies by country.

I'm pretty sure this is a website put out by Better Homes and Gardens. I had purchased one of their holiday issues and went to look for the recipe online so I didn't have to type and found it on this site along with lots of other ones. You would think it would stop me from buying the magazine

I have a pile of Christmas cookie magazines and specific Christmas cookie cookbooks that's over 2 feet high on my coffee table as I try to decide. And I'm still looking at different Christmas cookie cookbooks.

This all makes me wonder - what makes a cookie a Christmas cookie? Aside from the festive-looking peppermint, special shaped, or other obvious ones. Creating a cookie cookbook and calling it Christmas cookies is one way to get me to buy it!

That's a good question, actually, and I was just thinking about it yesterday. Every year at this time I find myself trying cookie after cookie, looking for additions to my cookie platters. I don't have set criteria though... I will say that I have more "good cookies, but not good enough" than I have new Christmas Cookies.

Hm... spices? The flavor profile in many Christmas cookies hearkens back to winter recipes from old Germany.

Loren - this is me, too! I am trying so hard to not get distracted and to just pick a few and let it go, but it's so hard. I've been following your quest and am actually thinking I'll just wait to see what you pick and make what you make.
