Is this nutritional information correct?

http://www.healthyfood.co.nz/recipes/2009/july/bobotie

The recipe lists 509 calories but when I put it in Mastercook I get: Per Serving (excluding unknown items): 728 Calories; 25g Fat (31.4% calories from fat); 33g Protein; 91g Carbohydrate; 9g Dietary Fiber; 76mg Cholesterol; 1330mg Sodium. Exchanges: 5 Grain(Starch); 2 1/2 Lean Meat; 2 Vegetable; 1/2 Fruit; 3 1/2 Fat.

Check out also the sodium amounts. That is a huge difference.

Bobotie
Here is an easy recipe for the traditional, delicious curried minced meat dish from South Africa.

Ingredients
400g lean beef mince
1 onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons fresh coriander, plus extra 2 tablespoons for garnish
4 teaspoons medium curry paste
2 tablespoons tomato paste
400g can chopped tomatoes with garlic
390g can chickpeas, drained, rinsed
1 cup liquid beef stock (use a beef stock cube mixed with boiling water)
4 tablespoons sultanas
1 1/2 cups couscous
Instructions
Step 1 Brown mince in a non-stick pan without added fat. Add onion. Cook to soften.

Step 2 Add remaining ingredients, except couscous, and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and cook for 20 minutes.

Step 3 To cook couscous, place in a large bowl and pour over 2 cups boiling water. Cover. Leave to stand for 5 minutes. Fluff up with a fork. Serve couscous with bobotie and garnish with extra coriander.

I put it through Living Cookbook, and got 416.27 calories per serving. For the beef mince, I used 93% lean ground beef as the ingredient, and canned tomato wedges in juice, regular raisins for the Sultanas, and home made beef stock. Maybe the problem is in the couscous? I didn't have curry paste in the database, so used curry powder, instead.

HTH, but probably not...

Thanks LakeMartinGal, I think I will make the recipe after all, I might not have entered something correctly. I wouldn't want to make it if it was in the 700 calorie range.

I'll bet the chickpeas are the problem. MC is probably reading them as uncooked. Try changing them to either canned or cooked.
