So if we're really in a recession....

....doesn't it make more economical sense to buy ONE six pack for 4 guys who are all going to have one beer instead of 4 six packs so they can all have their personal favorite?

Just asking.

Maybe the 4 different types of beer was a form of stimulus?

Some stores will sell individual bottles of beer. Granted it may be more per bottle that way, but you can get exactly what you want.
We have a European market I enjoy going to (Tip Top Meats in Carlsbad for you San Diegans) and you can buy individual bottles of beer there. Makes for a fun trip because I can buy one beer that I've never tried before and not have to worry about what to do with the other 5 if I don't care for the 1.

Your favorite beer will go much further to putting you in a conciliatory mood then just drinking the presidents Bud Light...

And if not the Bud Light, then which of the other two's fav beer do you choose so as not to be picking sides...

Yep, we have grocery stores here that will allow you to "make your own 6 pack" with different micro and regular brews.

Drive south a little bit (but stop before you cross the border).

Yeah, I saw that article in the paper the other day. I haven't headed down that way yet. Might be worth a trip.

I completely agree with your husband's logic!!

OMG -- did Obama serve Bud Light at the Beer Summit? I liked him sooooo much until now ;-) I really did think he had better taste than that. Bud Light is what W would serve. Be interesting. Be worldly. Be creative. Come on Obama!

I do believe George would have served Pearl or Lone Star!

Each participant of the beer summit drank a different beer. The cop had a Blue Moon, Gates drank a Sam Adams Light, Obama drank a Bud Light, and Biden drank a Buckler which is non-alcoholic. Apparently, Biden doesn't drink.

W probably would have gone the Buckler, O'Douls route because he's an alcoholic.

Should've served Spotted Cow, I think.

Make it a BYOB party (bring your own beer).
