Downtown Chicago parking question

Disclaimer: those who have met me are probably going to find this hilarious.

I need to know the closest self-park garage (besides Water Tower Place) to the Ritz Carlton. I'm organizing an afternoon tea and for some silly reason there are people who refuse to valet. As I refuse to park my own car, I have no idea where one is and google is turning up nothing.

Downtown Chicago experts....any ideas?

Thanks!

There's one at the MCA, and one at the Hancock.

I don't know the situations of your fellow companions for tea, but for me the reason would not be silly, I need to save money wherever I can. Right now it's a need. Later on (hopefully), it will not be a NEED, but "if I save money on parking, I can do/buy xxx" People probably think I am silly at the lengths I go for free parking, but that's just what I need to do now.

Anyway, I hope you have a great tea. That sounds very enjoyable.

.
I grew up in New York City and it was a badge of honor to find free street parking -- just as it was much more gratifying to snag Calvin Klein or Donna Karan at Loehmann's or greatly reduced sales price.

I know the area very well. 900 N MI is diagonal from Water Tower. If we are talking about a week day, there is a special if you get in to the garage by 10 and are out by 7 ( I think) -- $16 otherwise it is $27. They also offer a three hour deal if you get a validation from one of the retailers in the building. (just ask them; no need to purchase something)

Hope this helps.

That's the one I was going to suggest but was hoping for something a bit cheaper. Most people parked there last year but we were at the Four Seasons so they validated. And we won't be there within the discount hours.

If people would carpool and split it, then it is still cheaper than the train/cab option so hopefully it will be ok.

Thanks!
