It's been on my wish list over at cooking.com since I've been a member of this board...LOL...but that price sounds a bit high...maybe it's a new version.

It is a new version. I'm a product specialist for KA and get to learn with all the products. It's very easy to use and I loved it. Because it is so new, I had to share with other specialists who need to learn it and that was hard to do.

I wanted to keep it! I used it last week, used all the plates, I did take some pictures and posted them on my blog

I have the old ones, but haven't used them since we got the rollers. I wonder if the plastic will get old and brittle like our friend's Cuisinart ones did many years ago. The old ones were $22.95 -- still have the price sticker on the box. That does seem a bit steep, but they haven't had them for years and this is a different animal. I'm going to have to pull out the old ones and try them again -- If they crack, I know what I want for Christmas or my birthday!

I think I would reconsider purchasing it if it had more dies to make other pasta shapes. The ones tht it comes with just isn't enough of a variety for me.

I have what I guess is now the old version. Got it as a wedding present. I love it. I wouldn't say I use it all the time, but it's easy and I've actually used it more than I thought I would. I've used it with at least two or three different recipes and have had only minimal trouble. In fact, the only trouble I had was my bad -- I left the yet-to-be-used portions of dough uncovered on my counter while I worked with the first portion so they dried out. When that happens, the sheets just sort of tear apart -- like pie dough that gets all crack-y around the edges.
