NY Times Chocolate Chip Cookies

I baked these for a football game gathering we're having at our place tonight. I had seen the recipe before but thought it looked like a lot of work. I'm sure most of you have heard of them but thought I'd post since I've tried them. DH and I just shared the first one and oh my they are good! I will try to photograph and post a picture. They are most certainly NOT light but oh so good for just a splurge. Will serve with homemade vanilla ice cream "just to cut the sweetness" Here's the link in case you want to review the recipe: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/09/dining/091crex.html

This recipe has quite a few threads or posts on other threads. This is the one I first learned about it and have made it numerous times since. It also freezes well as individual cookie dough balls. I do not make them as large as the recipe calls for...mentally I need 2 cookies at a time!

Thanks Sneezles - I figured everyone had probably tried these but I hadn't had an opportunity to so I thought I'd bring it up again. Thanks for the links to the other threads.

They are my fav so far. I do freeze them in balls and when we want them just bake a couple at a time.
