Good Cook 4 for 44...

OK...so they sucked me in yet again...but this was a deal I could not pass up...4 books for $44. plus free S & H...so of course I ordered 8

Happy shopping...lots of new titles I had to pre-order!

They shipped me a book I didn't order twice, so then they put me on no response status (they only ship if I do contact them). I think that means they will also never drop me (they only email, so no mailing cost) and I'm less likely to cancel with no risk of unwanted shipments. I may never get a re-join offer again.

What did you order Gail? My offer was 2 for $22 and free shipping if you order by 2pm. So far I've ordered...
Baking by James Peterson
Southern Living Comfort Food
The Pioneer Woman Cooks (pre-order)
The Best Casserole Cookbook Ever by Beatrice Ojakangas

My offer was 3 for $33 but I had a really hard time getting my account to accept the offer even though I followed the links. It also charged me shipping which I have disputed. Of course I persevered and placed my order. I ordered:

Baking by by James Peterson
Rose's Heavenly Cakes by Rose Levy Beranbaum
All Cakes Considered by Melissa Gray
Salty Sweets by Christie Matheson
Rustic Fruit Desserts by Cory Schreiber and Julie Richardson.
The Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook by Tarek Malouf

I really wanted Unforgettable Desserts but I could not get it to be accepted for $11.00 - it kept reverting back to it's original price. I also wanted Cake Keeper Cakes but they did not have it.

Mine was 4 for $44 and at the risk of sounding snooty, I feel like their selection has totally dwindled. I had trouble finding 4 I wanted--now you should know half the problem is I already own a lot of them, but seriously, I only got 11 choices, for exs, for baking books! Do you think that was a function of my "deal" or is that a sign their stock has actually shrunk that much? There used to be like 3-4 pages of baking books!

I do think the selection has been less for a while now -- part of the reason I haven't ordered for a while. I saw 2 or 3 I'd considered but haven't really had a chance to check out, but I also had a number of the others that would have been of interest.

I got the 4 for $44 offer, and I might have ordered if I had either gotten it sooner to look for 4 or gotten the 2 for $22 variation and had time to get free shipping. I only had a few minutes if the time was my local time. If it was their time zone on the east coast, it was too late when I got the email.

Hi Molli...I posted something on the other thread about Sandra...cause I couldn't find this one, LOL...the book is lovely, and I am not really a big fan, but I'm a sucker for beautiful colored pics, and easy, yummy recipes...I will make lots out of this one!
