Baby Shower Menu

I am hosting a Baby Shower for a coworker/friend. There will be 14 of us total. It will be at my house. It will be casual. Here's my menu. Tell me what you think?? There is no "theme" to this shower. Just a get together really to celebrate the upcoming birth of her baby.

Drinks: Sangria (with alcohol) requested by many
Non Alcholic Punch (Still searching for a recipe?)
Ice Tea

Appetizers: Cheese & Crackers
Garlic Toast/Bruschetta
Spinach Artichoke Dip

Entree: Sandwich Tray from Local Market
My Homemade Potato Salad
Sweet Brocolli Salad or Green Salad???? (Which One?)

Desserts: Store bought shower cake
Everyone is requesting one of my baked desserts?? Suggestions?

Thanks for any & all input & opinions!

I really like your menu. I like the idea of someone else doing the sandwich tray and that you have done mainly everything else on your own. You have a nice mix of appetizers. I have a really good non alcoholic punch, however it isn't on my laptop. I will try to get it to you over the next few days.

I would choose the Broccoli Salad over the green salad. With a green salad you generally have an oily dressing and I really
find that too messy for a shower.

I'm really not a dessert person. The cake sounds great. You could add some fresh fruit for the non-cake people but I've been to many showers that just have cake.

This is not necessary for your menu but I have to tell you that one of the biggest hits I made for a recent shower was Mantauk Seafood Salad from The Barefoot Contessa. This was recommended to me by someone on this board (rough day, can't research who it was at this time). The only change I made was that I did not use the mussells.

Have fun....I love hosting showers

Here's a link for a virgin sagria. I made it once, I thought it was a little sweet, but it could easily be adjusted thttp://www.recipezaar.com/virgin-sangria-370029o taste.

I would replace the bruschetta; it doesn't seem to work with a sandwich platter/potato salad lunch. If you're serving cheese and crackers and artichoke dip, maybe something not too heavy on the dairy or carbs?

I agree that broccoli salad would be less messy and would fit in better with the sandwiches and potato salad.
