quick dairy based drizzle icing question

I just made a pumpkin bundt cake calling for a buttermilk icing drizzled over it. I don't have buttermilk but I made a yogurt one and it is tastes great on the little petit fours from the same batter (there was leftover, I used a smaller bundt pan). However is there any reason to think yogurt won't work (in terms of the sitting out on a bundt cake part)? I cannot think why it would not but thought I would ask before I did it....
