Favor Re: Chicken, Ham and Wild Rice Soup from Joe's Blog

This is a favorite in our house but I want to lighten it up. I don't have MasterCook....but want to know the NI if I replace the half and half with skim milk. Would anyone be willing to run this through and let me know?

I'd be so thankful!

Assuming 6 servings--

as written:
537 cal, 29g fat, 29g protein, 3g fiber

with skim milk:
384 cal, 11g fat, 30g protein, 3g fiber

Do you need any other stats like carbs, sodium or for 8 servings?

37 grams of carbs with half and half, 38g with skim milk.

You're very welcome!

I've been making this recipe for a couple years now and I've been reversing the amounts for chicken broth and half and half (1 cup half and half and 4 cups of broth) and for my taste, I like it even better. It was just a matter of taste -- for me the original recipe was too rich. It's also good with some added sauteed mushrooms.
