Does thus shoe product exist?

I am looking for something that fits in the heel of your shoe to keep your heels from sliding out of shoes that are 1/4 size too big.

Does this exist?

Thanks!!!

If the shoe has a toe, most people stuff a hankerchief, or part of one, in there.

Walgreens or any drug store carries them. They are these little pads that stick on. You can layer two if needed. They are by the shoe cushions and such.

Yup, I use them in several pairs of shoes, and I've used a double layer in the past when needed.

I asked a cobbler for something like that once. He told me to try a thick insole first. I did and it worked great. He said that the other things didn't hold very well - they would stretch out and you'd be in the same position you started in!

Are the shoes too big, or do you just ahve a narrow heel?

I have tried on about 25 different pairs of ballet-flat type shoes this season, and my heels stay in none of them. DD is the same way. I tried the stick in cushions for the heels but I found that they worked their way up and out of the top of the back of the shoe.

I guess I have to stick with shoes that cover more of my feet (hard to do with the current styles).

I found some suede-like stick on things at the shoe repair place. They held up pretty well. They won't make a bad-fitting shoe right, but they added a little cushion to a just-slightly wide or long shoe and made it less "floppy".

That's really all I need. I'm hesitant to put anything in the toe b/c these are heels and my toes are pushed forward by the angle of the heel/slant of the shoe.

I was thinking that anything stick-on would come off through normal walking but I'll give them a go anyway as there doesn't seem to be much alternative.

You should be able to find the heel cushion things at pretty much any shoe store - Rack Room Shoes always has them here (not sure if that chain is up there or not). They stick on pretty well, but we usually wear them with socks, so I'm not sure how they'd work with bare feet...

I've never had one come off. I get the cushy gel ones and I think I have them in 2 or 3 pairs because I have a very narrow heel.

Loren, I've used a similar product to these that I picked up at CVS:

If the shoe is just a little too big they work fine and the adhesive is strong enough that they don't come off the shoe.

Use a "ball" pad in your shoe. It pushes your foot back to the heel for a snug fit. Keeps your feet from going forward. Drug stores or Foot Petals that department stores carry. I work in the shoe industry and that is what we always use! Good luck!
