Great shoe/blister products!

You may remember a thread I started awhile back asking about how to deal with blisters, etc when not wearing nylons with heels.

I've bought a ton of different products and here are the best two I've used:

For pre-empting blisters this stuff is amazing. when you can feel where your shoes are going to rub, put this on immediately before there's even a hint of a blister and you won't get one. There's also a Band-Aid brand product called Friction Block which I'm sure is just as good.

When you get a blister, these are the most amazing band-aids ever. They form a cushion (the band aid expands) over the entire and exact position of your blister almost like it blows up like a balloon just over your blister. It takes a few hours but it's amazing. They stay on for a few days even through the shower so you don't have to take them off and lose that amazing cushion. There is absolutely no pain even with a fresh blister and the same shoes with these band aids.

Thanks to everyone that helped me on that thread - I wanted to report back on the best results!!!

We've used the band-aids before and they do seem to be good. I bought the blister block for my son to take camping in case a pair of newer shoes caused any problems from not being fully broken in. He didn't use it, but I still have it. I'm going to try it with a pair of shoes that I'd worn a couple of times without a problem when they took the skin right off my toe. If that doesn't work, the shoes go out.

I've used those Bandaids, too, and they're good. Sometimes not the right shape/size I need, but they are great.

Good tip about the Rub Relief. I typically use Chapstick and have a stick that I use only on my feet :-) I need this a lot during the summer w/various sandals that have straps in different locations on my feet

I also bought the Target brand Up & Up version of those Band Aids and they were shaped better than the Band Aids and worked just as well.
