December Bon Appetit

Was curious what those of you who disliked November thought, especially of those hysterical cookie landscapes. I loved them. I have bookmarked several recipes--that's all I really care about, but the cookie landscapes were definitely unusual!

Photos were great but I'm really waiting to make that cover recipe! Since DH can't eat chocolate late in the day I guess I'll try it at Thanksgiving rather than wait for Christmas.

I literally LOL'd at the cookiescape.

I'm all for whimsey but that had crack pipe written all over it.

With that said, the cardamom orange cookies are on my list to make as part of my Christmas cookie baking. I will make anything with cardamom in it.

I haven't read it but I the cookie landscapes reminded me of Hung's Smurf Village on Top Chef

I'll let you know which recipes I bookmark.

Thanks for posting Laura, I was the one that started the the Nov BA thread and when I saw your question, I couldn't wait to get home and see what you were talking about. I was really confused because I had made it throught 3/4 of the magazine and was drooling over the beautiful pictures of all of the food especially the desserts and was wondering what you were talkng about. I LOVE the cookie landscape pictures, very whimsical. I can't wait to make the chocolate peppermint bark cookies.
