1 1/2 pounds of chocolate in this frosting!

I was eyeing December BA's Peppermint Meringue cake with chocolate buttercream and the frosting calls for 1 1/2# of bittersweet chocolate. thats mind boggling to me, but I am still considering making it for a dinner party.

My ? is cocoa has caffiene in it right? I dont want send guests into an insomniac night. So I am wondering since you get 10-12 slices, how much that wouild equate to.

I have no idea but I am making it for T-day so will let you know if anyone reacts though I seriously doubt it and I'm guessing from the richness there will be more than 12 servings in this house.

1 1/2 pounds of chocolate = 24 oz
each of 12 slices would contain 2 oz of chocolate

Amounts will vary depending on brand.

Bittersweet chocolate has approximately 5-10mg caffeine per oz
Brewed coffee has approximately 100-150mg caffeine per 8 oz cup
