ISO yam apple recipe

Recently I saw a recipe that baked chunks of yams and apples together. It didn't appear to be overly sweet, and I'd like to try it. I've gone through all my magazines, however, and can't find it. My google search resulted in lots of very sweet, saucy type recipes. That's not what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Was it the Bourbon Sweet Potato and Apple Casserole with a pecan crust on p. 54 of the Oct/Nov 2009 issue of Fine Cooking?

It wasn't that elaborate, but the pecan crust does sound good. I may check that one out.
