Can I freeze canned water chestnuts

I bought a can of water chestnuts and won't be using them all in dinner tonight so I was wondering if I can freeze the leftovers. Has anyone ever done this?

    I do!

It's been a long time since I've frozen water chestnuts, but I recall them coming out fine. I believe they still had a crunch when cooked after freezing. BTW, they must be okay b/c I know I've seen them in some frozen veggie combinations.
