How long does chicken stock stay good in the fridge?

I made some last Tuesday, so it is 8 days old. I have been staring at the bowl, meaning to get it into freezer bags, but it just hasn't happened yet. Do I need to pitch it??

The labels on canned stocks say use within a week of opening, I believe. I'd probably toss it.

The rule of thumb is to dump after a week but I've gone ahead and frozen the batch as long as it's been covered and well-chilled the whole time(and using the smell test). I'd freeze in small batches though.
