sirloin tip roast on the rotisserie?

I pulled a 5lb. sirloin tip rost out of the freezer and invited the kids over. Has anyone ever cooked this on the spit? Anything special I should do to the meat? TIA.

It's the cut of meat that you would braise or roast. A 3pound roast would take 2 hours of cooking time, to get to 160 degrees (Medium) I haven't come across a good recipe, when I do I will post it. Sorry, I'm not help.

I've cooked a sirloin tip roast in my Showtime Rotiserie, but never one that big! Usually I just make sure it gets to medium with my probe thermometer, then slice it ultra thin, and drizzle a yummy mushroom wine sauce over it.

Thanks, Ann and Jewel. I ended up putting it in the oven despite the 108 heat index we had on Sunday. I made mashed potatoes and delish mushroom gravy. It was a great meal for a gray November day.

Next time I will buy a smaller one and put it on the spit for DH and I to try. Too many people yesterday to give it a try.
