    light or dark kidney beans?

Which color kidney beans do you use? Is there a difference between them - either in flavor or nutritional value? I usually buy the dark, simply because I associate more color with more nutrition, but I have never known what the difference is. Can someone enlighten me?
Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.

The dark beans have a deeper, more intense flavor. The light ones taste more like cranberry beans or even pinto beans. And yes, the darker the bean, the more of certain nutrients. (I don't have the list handy.)

I mostly get the dark, only because that is what most brands have available. When the light are available I get those because they seem to be more tender.

I've noticed this too. I don't like how the dark ones seem rather tough, so I usually buy the light ones.

I buy the light ones, too.
