I am considering making a tart for Easter, but the recipe says to use an 8" removable bottom tart pan.
Could I use a springform pan with a removable bottom in place of the tart pan?
I've done that before, I think with the Strawberry-Almond Cream Tart from a couple of years ago. It worked out fine.
Sure you could. You just won't get the scalloped perimeter of a tart pan, but it would look fine if you just trim the top edge of your tart crust level right around the diameter.
