Can I freeze parsley, thyme, oregano, sage?

My herb garden did well this year and I have so much of the above herbs, I'd like to try to freeze them. Any tips on how? Do I freeze whole and chop as I need? Do I chop then freeze? Do I need to wrap in wet paper towel? Help!

I freeze all of those herbs. I grind up parsley in the food processor before freezing, the others I pretty much freeze whole.

The only herb I find doesn't freeze well is cilantro, it doesn't seem to have much flavour when used after freezing. Basil doesn't have the greatest texture after freezing but seems to retain flavour.

Maybe there's some trick to freezing cilantro that I don't know about?

    Anna,

Are you going to Scarborough Fair?

(I couldn't resist. And I realize 'rosemary' wasn't mentioned, but still... slow day around here)
